Medical Automation System Design and Fabrication Services

IIS designs motor control systems to suit any client requirement. Our services include engineering, software development, enclosure/panel fabrication, and turnkey production systems that use a broad spectrum of controllers, drives, and servo motors.

Our servo motor and control systems are tailored to Fortune 500 to small OEMs and feature hardware, software, and operator interfaces customized for each application. Personalized customer service offers assistance to clients in selecting parts to fit their requirements best.

Servo motors, drives, and motion controllers to provide system solutions

IIS delivers a comprehensive product line emphasizing power, speed, and accuracy with connectivity options providing the ability to integrate with various equipment used in medical automation systems. We support numerous industry communications protocols, including Modbus, Sercos, DeviceNet, and TCP/IP over Ethernet.

We provide a selection of brushless servo and stepper motors with output power ranging from 30W to 55kW, explosion-proof, food-grade, high temperature, and wash-down models, as well as amplifier choices such as stepper driven and servo models.

Engineering custom intelligent servo drive solutions for optimized function and fit is our specialty.

Upgrades and retrofits

Equipment maintenance and repair can become costly and occasionally unmanageable if spare parts are unobtainable. When this occurs, our experienced team offer support in retrofitting and upgrading outdated motors, motion controls and servo drives with up-to-date technology.

Our retrofit and medical automation system upgrade services start with an improvement strategy that contains research and designing of pre-engineered packages. Older equipment and systems developed by IIS can be upgraded to the latest technology and all software is fully transferable.

Retrofitting and upgrading to the latest technology is part of a proactive plan to decrease production losses and downtime. Upgrades enhance system performance, prolonging the life of capital equipment.

Designed with the OEM in mind

The Luminary Series Stepper Motors and Drives packs a full complement of interface options:

  • Versatile Drive Interface: Designed with the OEM in mind, the Luminary Series Stepper drive packs a full complement of interface options. Analog velocity and torque control, digital encoder feedback, and digital input and output control points provide flexible design options needed by the OEM.
  • Stepper Motors with Servo Performance: By using integral encoder feedback, no loss of shaft position under peak torque conditions and quiet operation are true benefits when applied in many environments.
  • Full Control for Less Cost: This stepper drive and motor combination, when networked with the LMC-400 controller, gains the standard Emerald Motion Language and the EDE software tool kit providing electronic cam motion, electronic gearing and programmable limit switch outputs for synchronized and coordinated motion profiles.

About IIS

IIS, founded in 1977 in Penfield, New York, US. Over the years, we have accommodated a steady growth, expanding our facility in Victor, New York, several times to its current 17,000ft² capacity.

This location houses critical departments such as applications engineering, customer support, marketing, panel shop, R&D production, sales, and warehousing.
