The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.35% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.93% share in October 2022, recording a decrease of 1.74% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Australia’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s medical industry in October 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 58.82% in October 2022, registering a 33.33% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a 17.65% share, an increase of 50% over the previous month.

3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 11.76%, registering a 71.43% decline from September 2022.

4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 5.88%, down 85.71% over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 55.56% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s medical industry during October 2022 over September 2022.

Annalise-AI posted 7 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 250% over the previous month, followed by AlayaCare with 2 jobs and a flat growth. Cochlear with 2 IT jobs and Intelerad Medical Systems with 2 jobs, recorded a 71.43% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while NuVasive recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during October 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.71%, down by 60.71% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 23.53% share, registered a decline of 42.86% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 11.76% share, down 33.33% over September 2022.
