US-based company Thermo Fisher Scientific ’s IT hiring declined 1.0% in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 7.28% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 9.72% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 0.43% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Thermo Fisher Scientific IT hiring in September 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Thermo Fisher Scientific, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 64.38% in September 2021, and a 13.19% rise over August 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 10% in September 2021, and registered a decline of 15.79%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 9.38% in September 2021, a 25% rise from August 2021.
North America drives IT hiring at Thermo Fisher Scientific
North America emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 53.13% share, which marked a 16.44% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 30.63%, registering a 6.52% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 15.63% share and a 16.67% drop over August 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 0.63% and a month-on-month flat growth.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 48.13% share in September 2021, an 11.59% growth over August 2021. India featured next with an 11.25% share, down 28% over the previous month. China recorded an 11.25% share, an increase of 38.46% compared with August 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Thermo Fisher Scientific IT hiring activity in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.13%, up by 4.12% from August 2021. Entry Level positions with a 20.63% share, a growth of 135.71% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 16.25% share, down 33.33% over August 2021.
