German company joimax has introduced a new iLESSYS biportal interlaminar endoscopic surgical system to treat spinal disorders.
The iLESSYS biportal system is suitable for bimanual surgical procedures.
Expanding the company’s endoscopic offerings, the iLESSYS biportal for unilateral biportal endoscopy (UBE) comes with a feature wherein the instrument working port can be separated from the endoscope, thereby enabling unrestricted relative movement between the two components.
Besides featuring a special triangulation tool for simplifying the access triangulation of two ports, the system has biportal-specific working tubes with inbuilt irrigation outflow control for accurate water management.
The system also features larger and more advanced tools for effective tissue ablation and resection.
joimax Group CEO and founder Wolfgang Ries said: “The system will be part of the ESPINEA training and education programme and will be fully implemented in the workshop courses by the end of the year.
