To enable better clinical management of patients with suspected allergies, diagnostic systems developer EUROIMMUN (Sea), has initiated a strategic partnership with Angsana Molecular & Diagnostics.

The companies will collaborate to work on allergy diagnostics and testing. While Angsana offers comprehensive analysis of sensitisations against inhalation, food and other allergens to enable precise determination of allergen, EUROIMMUN will work on customising two allergy profiles to suite and cater South East Asia.

Medical diagnostic imaging provider, Konica Minolta Healthcare, has entered a partnership with medical device producer, Mindray, to introduce exclusive musculoskeletal (MSK) portable ultrasound solutions.

The collaboration, which combines Mindray’s patient care solutions with Konica’s cutting-edge technologies, will cater the need for advanced ultrasound technology in out-of-hospital settings and empower the MSK providers with best tools at the point of care.

In a series C venture financing round led by Sectoral Asset Management, medical device manufacturer, Shockwave Medical, has raised $45m, which will be used to advance the development of the company’s Lithoplasty balloon catheter platform and to expand the commercialisation of peripheral vascular disease treatment in the US and the EU.

The financing round has also seen the participation of a new investor named T. Rowe Price Associates and the company’s existing investors.
