In a move to strengthen its pressure prevention and therapeutic support surface offering, Compass Health Brands has completed the acquisition of Meridian Medical, a manufacturer of therapeutic support and respiratory products.

The transaction adds Meridian Medical’s product line, which includes six brands, such as Air Lift, CareFore and Ultra Care, to the acquirer’s professional channel, which, through an independent HME dealer network, serves the HME provider market.

Stellar Technologies, a medical device machining and component manufacturer based in Minnesota, US, has been acquired by Cirtec Medical, a design and contract manufacturing services provider for invasive medical devices.

The move helps the acquirer to expand the company’s manufacturing capabilities and services and to provide the latest innovative technologies, specifically in the neuro-modulation market.

Epic Health Services has announced the acquisition of Paediatric Special Care, the only paediatric-focused nursing and home medical equipment company in Michigan.

"The acquisition will enable Epic Health to expand its private duty nursing and home medical equipment services."

Pediatric Special Care's business, which majorly (60%) focuses on private duty nursing portion, will soon be rebranded to Epic Health Services, while the remaining home medical equipment segment will be renamed to Epic Medical Solutions, a division of Epic Health Services.
