MICROMO is pleased to announce that PiezoMotor Uppsala AB (Sweden) is offering the latest drive option for the high precision Piezo LEGS motor series.

The new DMC-30019 is a single-axis controller based on architecture from Galil Motion Control.

PiezoMotor marketing manager Olle Lindkvist said: "Galil makes high end controllers that are widely used within areas like semiconductor, medtech, automation, optics and research.

"Engineers worldwide can now benefit from familiarity of the Galil control interface when they design systems using piezoelectric motors.

"The Piezo LEGS motor, together with the new DMC-30019, gives outstanding performance in high precision applications."

The motion controller operates standalone or can be networked to a PC via ethernet.

Features include PID compensation with velocity and acceleration feed forward, programme memory with multitasking for concurrent execution of four programmes, and optically isolated inputs and outputs for synchronising motion with external events.

Modes of motion include point-to-point positioning, jogging, contouring, PVT, electronic gearing and cam.

These controllers use a simple, English-like command language, which makes them easy to programme. PiezoTools software further simplifies system set-up with real-time display of position and velocity information.
