In response to its growing demand for parylene coatings used in critical applications, VSi Parylene has announced the expansion of cleanroom capacity at its Broomfield, CO Headquarters. This expansion creates space to support new programs for its steadily increasing medical device business.
The expansion of its Class 10,000 cleanroom space allows the capability of housing dedicated POD parylene production machines and supporting production lines. VSi Parylene plans to invest in construction, new technology, and equipment to further improve capabilities that continue to meet growing parylene needs for medical customers.
This is VSi Parylene’s most recent expansion since the move to its current purpose-built parylene facility in 2015 and falls in line with the many improvements made since its inception in 2007. The expansion also supports the development and production of its Parylene On Demand (POD) industrial parylene production ecosystem including best-in-class coating systems and raw materials.
In addition to their ISO 13485 certified on-site parylene processing capabilities, VSi parylene also specializes in customer-site integration of parylene through Parylene On Demand (POD) ecosystem. Parylene On Demand (POD offers manufacturers a robust, turn-key solution that is designed to integrate parylene into any production line, at any scale. An in-line POD system eliminates the lead time, improves overall profitability and reduces technical risk when compared to traditional parylene as-a-service processing.
